Our name

The arc represents intentional, managed change. Like an arc, transformation happens incrementally, yet over time it can lead to a completely new direction. Progress means balancing speed and momentum with caution and control, and knowing when to exercise patience and when to intervene decisively.

Impact keeps us focused on purpose and results. It reflects our commitment to helping organizations stay clear, focused, and effective as they advance their mission. 

Strategy bridges vision and implementation. Intentions are fragile until they have a clear path to action. It takes wisdom, care, and skill to apply the right level of design and planning an idea needs to be ready for launch.

Jon Crowe

PRINCIPAL

Jon is a strategist and facilitator working in the non-profit sector to help organizations navigate change and evolve with intention. His practice draws from a 20-year career in sustainability, planning, and organizational strategy where he has worked with a wide range of leading foundations, cities, non-profits, companies, and government agencies. Most recently he served as Chief Strategy Officer for the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, supporting the organization over a 6-year period of rapid change that saw USDN become an independent non-profit, triple membership, quadruple staff, and build out new teams for development, communications, data systems, process improvement, and executive leadership. Before USDN, he spent eight years in policy and strategy consulting, earned a masters degree in environmental policy and planning, and held climate-focused positions in local government and an international NGO. 

Jon launched Arc Impact Strategies in 2025 to help organizations navigate complex environments and an intensifying pace of change in the world. Jon’s superpower and passion is to organize messy and unwieldy topics into a clear structure and effective process that makes forward progress possible. His approach is rooted in inclusive facilitation, change management, and human centered design—infused with a healthy dose of energy, creativity, and fun that helps bring people together and spark new ideas.
